No outlay for the Property Rental Service?
There is no charge to Owners to open their Property Rental account by advertising on the Getaway Spain website. This account includes the creation of a FREE dedicated Getaway Spain web page for their property and the benefits of our many advertising campaigns.

What commission is taken by Getaway Spain?
Getaway Spain’s Property Rental Service operates on a 10% (+ IVA), commission basis, taking their costs from the rental income they generate or handle on the Owners behalf, therefore no bookings, no charges, no outlay.

What if a booking is cancelled before the balance is paid?
Getaway Spain commission is calculated on the rental income actually received. Therefore should a booking be cancelled, with only the non-refundable 25% holding deposit having been received, the commission would be calculated on that amount, not the full rental value.

What happens to the Holding Deposit?
Getaway Spain arrange for the 25% holding deposit to be transferred into Getaway Spain’s UK account. The balance of this 25% is paid to the Owner at the end of each rental period, less any cost associated with the rental period i.e. Getaway Spain commission +IVA.

What happens to the Rental Balance & Breakages Deposit?
Getaway Spain arranges for the 75% Rental Balance and Breakages Deposit to be transferred into Getaway Spain’s UK account. The balance of this 75% is paid to the Owner at the end of each rental period, less any cost associated with the rental period i.e. Getaway Spain commission + IVA. This balance is either transferred directly into the Owners nominated UK bank account, or paid by cheque locally if preferred. The Breakages Deposit is returned to the client by Getaway Spain once satisfied none needs to be retained.

What about private bookings?
Private bookings arranged and dealt with directly by the owner without the need for any of the Getaway Spain Property Rental Services are exempt from the 10% fee.
