1. BOOKING:
A reservation maybe made without a deposit. However, this
reservation remains provisional for a maximum of 5 days
by which time a deposit equating to 25% of the rental value
should be made. The booking will then be confirmed by the
agent. The deposit is non-refundable.
2. PAYMENT OF BALANCE: The outstanding
balance must be received no less than 2 months prior to
the commencement of the holiday period booked. Should the
outstanding amount still be pending after the due date,
the property owner reserves the right to consider the booking
as cancelled and will not be obliged to refund the deposit.
For bookings made less than eight weeks prior to arrival
date, immediate payment of the total holiday cost is required.
Credit/Debit Card payments accepted though subject to 5%
surcharge
3. SECURITY & BREAKAGES DEPOSIT: Payable
with your final balance.
£100 / €150 / $200 for 1-2 bedroom apartments
£150 / €225 / $300 for 2-3 bedroom villas and
apartments
£200 / €300 / $400 for 4 bedroom villas and apartments
£250 / €375 / $500 for 5-6 bedroom villas
This will be refunded within 14 days of your return home
once the inventory has been checked and found to be satisfactory
and all keys returned to the local agent or Getaway Spain
4. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT: For whatever
reason a cancellation is made by the client, it must be
in writing by the person who made the booking. The following
charges are incurred:
60+ days notice in advance: Holding Deposit Retained
0-59 days notice in advance: Only Breakages Deposit Returned
5. CANCELLATION BY THE OWNER: It is highly
unlikely that an owner would cancel a booking. If for whatever
reason a property ceases to be available and the agent is
not able to offer alternative accommodation to the specification
required, the agent will fully refund all monies paid for
the holiday accommodation only and shall be under no other
liability.
6. PUBLIC LIABILITY: Part of the booking
requirement is that the client and all the members of his/her
party have taken out Personal Travel Insurance. Neither
the agent nor the property owner will accept any responsibility
for failure to do so. Responsibility lies solely with the
client. The agent and property owner are not responsible
for loss, damage, personal injuries or death of any persons
named on the booking form or any other person at the holiday
accommodation. The agent and owner shall not be liable for
any loss, breach or delay due to any cause beyond their
reasonable control including though not limited to an act
of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident, war
or threat of war, civil disturbance, acts, restrictions,
regulations, bye-laws, or measures of any kind on the part
of any governmental or local authority, strikes, lock-outs,
or other industrial actions or disputes or adverse weather
conditions. Neither the agent nor the owner can be held
responsible for the breakdown of mechanical equipment such
as pumps, boilers, swimming pool filtration systems etc
or for failure of public utilities such as water, gas and
electricity. Neither the agent nor the owner are responsible
for noise or disturbance originating beyond the boundaries
of the holiday accommodation or which is beyond their control
7. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT: It is
understood that the client will treat the holiday accommodation
with due care and that it will be left in the same state
of repair and condition as it was found on arrival. In the
eventuality of damage being incurred to any equipment or
furnishings within the area of the holiday accommodation
8. CAR HIRE: The agent merely offers details
of the car hire company and does not accept any responsibility
for the car hire service. The contract is strictly between
the client and the Car Hire Company, and any complaint should
be addressed directly to the Car Hire Company.
9. RECEPTION & DEPARTURE DAY: It is
imperative that the property is vacated by 10:00am on the
day of departure to enable cleaning and preparation to be
completed prior to the arrival of new guests. On some occasions
alternative arrangements can be made with the local representative.
Arrival time is 16:00 onwards.
